It is the mission of Halau Hula a Kawika Laua 'o Leinani:

To assist each student to grow spiritually and culturally through education of the dance of hula and other Polynesia dances.  The student learns and appreciates the history, translation, vocabulary and interpretation for the dance.  Each dancer aspires to their full potential and develops a care and respect for the dances which perpetuate a culture of the generations of the past.

To dedicate themselves to perpetuate, protect, respect and exemplify the spirit of the hula and other Polynesian dances.

To maintain protocol, history and teachings of past generations.

To encourage the community to express new and innovative ideas and support one another in their dance of hula and other Polynesian dances.

To coordinate workshops through public and private resources in order to continue the growth of the school and its members as well as bring others into the community to share their spirit for hula and other Polynesian dances.

To continue to spread the spirit and culture of the dances by performing in the community.
